Who it is for

Who orders knitwear through the network

Brands adding knitwear

Knitwear is made by a different kind of workshop from tailoring. Through the network it is one more garment in your range, routed to a workshop that knits.

Tailoring stores

A cardigan or a knitted polo sells beside a jacket. Hold samples, sell, and produce after the order.

Womenswear labels

Cashmere sweaters, open cardigans, button jackets and knit dresses.

Polo programmes

Knitted polos in cashmere and fine merino, cotton jersey polos in short and long sleeve, and linen polos.

Questions, answered

Knitwear production, answered

Do you manufacture knitwear for other brands?

Yes. Sweaters, cardigans, knit vests, polo shirts and knit dresses are made in Italy for brands, stores and womenswear labels, under your label. Send a design, a garment you want reworked or a reference photo, and we specify it with you: yarn, colour, neckline, fit, trims and label. The order goes to a workshop in our network that makes knitwear, a sample is made and refined, and production follows your approval. Because knitwear and tailoring come from different kinds of workshop, the practical gain is that both run through one platform and one contact, and you follow every order on the same production timeline.

Which yarns can knitwear be made in?

Merino wool and cashmere for sweaters, cardigans, vests and knitted polos, chosen by weight and colour in the specification. Polo shirts can also be made in cotton jersey or linen. If you have a particular yarn or colour card in mind, name it in your enquiry: whether it is available, and how that affects the timing, is confirmed in the specification before the sample is made.

How long does knitwear production take?

Knitwear and polo shirts take 3–4 weeks of production. The weeks count from confirmed measurements and specifications, so they start once you have approved the sample; how long sampling takes is agreed per project, because it depends on the style and on whether the cloth is in stock or milled to order. Runs of 50 pieces or more get their own schedule, agreed per order. Courier transit from Italy then adds 2–3 working days within Italy, 3–5 working days to Europe, including the UK and Switzerland, and 3–5 working days to the USA and Canada. Express shipping is available on request.

How do I order knitwear under my own label?

Start with the enquiry form on this page. Tell us what you sell today, where you sell it and the knitwear you want made, and attach whatever you have: a sketch, a tech pack, a garment to rework or a reference photo. We turn it into a production-ready specification with you, a sample is made and refined, and production starts when you approve it. If the design is your own, the private label page explains how that works; if you want to test a style or reorder what sells, read the small-batch page; the brands page covers the rest, including made-to-order for retailers. The minimum order is 1 piece. Unit cost moves with quantity and is quoted before you commit.
